It's a BOY

Mommy & Daddy found out today at Bobbie's second ultrasound that we are having a boy. We are both very excited as are the grand parents. The left photo, baby is waving at all of us. The right photo shows baby's "boy parts." We both have felt all along it was a boy but all we wanted was a healthy child. God continues to bless us. Tigger, our male cat, said he was moving out if there was another girl in the house! He is glad to have some more testosterone around here. We also registered for the baby showers today. Links to the places we have registered are located on the left side of the webpage.

It's Alive, It's ALIVE

As in the Frankenstein movies, Daddy Banks exclaims, "It's Alive!" We got to feel the baby move for the first time last night. Daddy Banks felt it first, followed my Mommy. There was no mistaking it! Bobbie claims that the stewed cabbage that Daddy made got baby to bounce around in there! This is all quite amazing and exciting. Wednesday we will be finding out the gender so stay tuned...

Daddy Needs to Step Away from the Internet

Baby is starting to worry about daddy cruising the internet looking for baby stuff. This is something daddy and Uncle Casey would definately try putting together!!! This pic is all over the "modern dad" websites. This is from Celebration IV in LA that Casey went to. Notice the mobile too! The guy that put this together was Rick Russo. May the force be with you....

Oh Look He Knows Who His Mommy Is

Daddy had to get this Harry Potter toy of Rubius Hagrid. It is quite cute!

Padawan Banks

Daddy Banks has left his mark on baby! I have made sure that the baby had some stylish duds to wear. Obviously the baby will be a huge Star Wars and Spiderman fan... I still have to get a Metallica and Harry Potter onesie before the baby's wardrobe is complete!

Howdy Partner!

Grandma & Grandpa McClain found these cute "baby spurs" for their upcoming little buckaroo! They aren't excited or anything! I have a strong suspicion that our child will be doing lots of riding with grandma & grandpa!

Baby Goes to First Rendezvous

Historical reenactments are one of mommy and daddy's favorite hobbies. Baby decided it would be alright to attend the 37th Annual Fort de Chartres Rendezvous. Baby made Bobbie have mood swing that ended in Bobbie kicking one of her wooden shoes 20 feet into someone else's camp. Ah hormones! She laughs about it now. Bobbie managed the heat OK. It was the most amazing weather for the event, ever! Baby was sorry for making mommy cranky.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

As promised, I was able to record the baby's heartbeat at the doctor's office today. I brought it home and put it into the computer for all to enjoy. I tried to clean it up a little bit and looped it three times, so don't think the baby's heart was skipping a beat. Keep you speakers on you computer low until you know how loud the file is... It is somewhat shocking at first listen. The recording quality is not the greatest. Dr. Jones says everything looks and sounds great. He says that we will get to see the baby again and know the gender on June 27th with Dr. Schneider. I have saved the heartbeat in mp3 format. Click on this link http://www.herrinhs.org/teachers/ShawnBanks/JILG/BabyBanksBeat.mp3 and it will prompt you to save the file. Then play it with quicktime, Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc. Let me know if you have any problems...
