More Soccer Pics & Schedule

Christopher had his second game of the season.  The temperature dropped to 39 degrees.  Christopher's team, Marion Soccer Inc (Light Blue) beat the Marion Soccer (Royal Blue...which was supposed to be Purple) 14-0 with Christopher scoring 10 goals.  Because of poor attendance due to weather, they decided to make it a 3 on 3 game.  Christopher did pass the ball a little more as there was more field available and each of his other teammates tallied 2 goals each.  His coach was astonished at his skill level.  In future season, he may be advanced to older levels to meet is skill set.  Noah was a little grumpy that day but never fails to cheer on his "Bubby."

For anyone interested in coming to a game, his schedule is:

The Marion Soccer Complex is 3.2 miles from the Interstate 57 exchange. From Interstate 57 (Main Street Exit - 53), go east toward the town of Marion at the Interstate 57 - Main Street intersection. You will be heading East on West Main Street, which will eventually change into East Main Street. Continue to drive past the town's square, which you will have to veer right (half way around the square). You will continue to drive in the same direction as you have been driving, after you pass this town's square. Continue straight or east on E. Main Street. After 3.2 miles from the Interstate 57 exchange, you will see the Marion Soccer Complex on the right hand or south side of East Main Street. You will have to turn right on Valentine Lane, and again right on George Sims Road, which will take you to the parking lot of the Marion Soccer Complex.

Ride to Masonic Childrens Home

Bobbie and I went on our first ride as members of the Raised & Riding Chapter of the Widows Sons.  The Widows Sons is a Masonic Motorcycle Riding Association.  After near 70 degree temps the day before, the day plummeted to the 40s on the ride.  Buuuurrr!  We had a ball though.  Great time was had by all.  We delivered Easter baskets to the children living at the Masonic Children's Home in Murphysboro and then had lunch at Golden Corral.

Christophers First Game for Marion Soccer Inc

Marion Soccer has unleashed the beast!  Christopher...Ole No. 1 had his first soccer game for the spring.  He is on the Marion Soccer Inc. Team.  They one 11-2 against Graphic Impressions.  Christopher scored 9 out of the 11 goals for his team.  Chris hustled after the ball and dominated play.  Goal #8 was through a three kid screen.  We talked with him about passing and how he shouldn't try to keep the ball.  He said, "All they do is kick it to the other team."  He has a valid argument!  I will be glad when they work on passing and it is more of a team effort.  As it stands for now, he is a force to be reckoned with!
