And the torch is passed. Leopard On A String was Shawn's favorite book as a child. It was bought by his mother at a used book sale for 25 cents. She had to read it hundreds of times. Daddy had to read it dozens of times to both boys. Christopher said. "We haven't read that in a long time." He zoomed off to get it and this time he read it to us. He loves to read. We are so proud of him.

Hallowee. 2014
Christopher and Noah wanted to both be St. Noah for school. For the nighttime, they chose to be pirates. Chris was determined to be a "ghost" pirate, so daddy had to recall his old KISS facepaint skills and make a ghost pirate. After a hard night of trick or treating, the "spirit" left him and wiped him out. Argh but these scurvy-dogs liberated and handsome booty from the land-lubbers!

Spring "Break?"
As the Banks boys' spring break comes to a close, I am reflective as to the peaks and valleys of a week of break with one parent home. There winners and losers and survival of all is still in question as of the writing of this entry. There has been bike riding, fort building, dirt digging, hole making, hole filling, book writing, fit throwing, take outs, time outs, trips and polar whips. The words "hey dad" have been said an estimated 1500 times over these five days. Chris and Daddy have come to terms that daddy will not be the one who teaches him how to tie shoes. Patience is a virtue which daddy is ill supplied in such matters. I am sure that I will look back fondly on this time, this quality bonding time. But as for now, several hours of complete silence would do this father good!
