Birthday Dinner at Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse

Christopher wanted his birthday dinner at Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse where they come and cook in front of you on the Hibachi grill.  They had a ball though Noah thought our chef was going to set him on fire!

Five Years Old!

 

Christopher had a great birthday party at the Science Center in Carbondale.  The kids played with all kinds of activities including being able to act like TV news anchors and they got to make their own volcano erupt.  It's hard to believe he is five!

Halloween 2012

We had an astronaut and a hockey player this year.  The boys only went to six of our usual houses and were loaded up!  We had a great Halloween!

Diet progress

I started my Atkins diet on July 1st.  I have had several "cheat days" since then but as of today, I have lost 57 pounds.  My goal is to weigh 250 lbs, which will be a new me!  Thanks to the fam for their support.

Pumkin Patch 2012

We had a great time with the boys and their #1 babysitter Bethany at the Pumpkin Patch.  We went on a hayride, played on the slides and in the corn tubs in the play barn.  It was lots of fun!

Soccer Star

Christopher is having a ball with soccer.  He is the top goal scorer on the team, scoring four goals in one game this last Saturday.  He is a ball of energy out there!

Sadness

It is with great disappointment that I must tell you that Bobbie/we had a miscarriage. Bobbie had some bleeding and went to her doctor. They performed an ultrasound and discovered that the baby had passed at about 8.5 weeks. This would have been week 14. So, she had lost the baby prior to our first doctor appointment. We are both very upset, as is Christopher. I debated whether or not to post about this but as we have always been up front with all our children, I thought I would share this too. It is a sense of great loss and I find it hard to believe that some would do this intentionally. It makes us appreciate the family we have and our faith. Please keep us in your prayers as we grieve and begin to mend.

10 Week and Counting

Wow! We officially have a due date now, Sept 3. No heartbeat heard yet. The baby is sitting too far back on Bobbie just yet. Bobbie is further along than we had anticipated. Looks like this one is full of surprises. Bobbie feeling tired and a bit stressed. Noah's birthday and Beta Club convention is contributing heavenly to that. Next appointment will be in early March.

And Then There Were Three

Christmas just keeps on coming! On January 14th, we discovered that we have another baby on the way. Shawn had a sneaky suspicion on the 10th. As the week progressed daddy, who has lived through this twice before, became further convinced that something was definitely up and by Saturday, Bobbie went and bought a test confirming what daddy already knew. Holy Toledo...three!!!! We are shocked, mystified, and dazed. We are also very happy and welcome this blessing from God. We hope however that if God chooses to bless us with more, that he include additional revenue and sanity so we might recoup what we have lost!
